IKEA STore AWARD
In 2023, I had the honor and pleasure of writing for the IKEA Store Award ceremonies. These two award shows take place every year in birthplace of IKEA—Älmhult, Sweden—and bring over 1,000 people from all over the world together to celebrate the best of IKEA retailing. It’s basically Eurovision for IKEA, and it’s a joy to work on.
Before the award shows, I established the run of show and planned content. I then wrote the script for the live shows and related videos, with input from the project lead and my fellow copywriter. The week of both shows, I rehearsed and finessed the script with the show hosts and numerous presenters, coaching them wherever needed.
IKEA RETAIL CONCEPT DAYS
In 2023, I wrote for Retail Concept Days, a two-day live event that brought together all 400+ co-workers of IKEA’s Retail Concept organization to connect, learn, and get inspired for the new financial year. It took place in The Hague, The Netherlands.
When the run of show was established, I wrote the foundational show script for each day and then worked with the show hosts to punch it up and simplify it wherever needed.
